We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. This role is crucial in ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medications, directly contributing to better patient outcomes.
Job Description
The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the rational and safe use of medicines across hospital departments. You will play a pivotal role in monitoring prescriptions, preventing medication errors, guiding healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with hospital standards and national regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and therapeutic effectiveness.
- Ensure the safe and cost-effective use of medications in patient care.
- Counsel patients on correct usage, side effects, and interactions of prescribed drugs.
- Collaborate with doctors and nursing staff to optimize drug therapy and treatment outcomes.
- Conduct clinical audits and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, NABH accreditation standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in pharmacovigilance activities and adverse drug reaction reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation, storage, and inventory control of drugs.
- Support training programs for healthcare staff on safe medication practices.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional who is detail-oriented and passionate about patient safety.
- Qualification:
- UG: B. Pharm in any specialization
- PG: M. Pharm (Pharmacy) / MS / M.Sc. (Science) in relevant specialization
- Experience: 2 – 7 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy or clinical pharmacy role.
- Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutic guidelines.
- Familiarity with hospital operations and NABH compliance requirements.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
