Position Summary:
As a Business Executive, you will serve as a vital link between Merck’s innovative product portfolio and the medical professionals who depend on them. Your role will focus on driving sales, fostering professional relationships, and supporting the safe use of pharmaceutical products through effective pharmacovigilance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically promote and generate prescriptions for Merck’s therapeutic offerings by engaging with healthcare professionals across your assigned territory.
- Ensure the achievement of secondary sales targets through systematic engagement and support of prescribers and allied healthcare stakeholders.
- Cultivate enduring relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), including eminent physicians, endocrinologists, and cardiologists, enhancing Merck’s presence and credibility in the medical community.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily sales activity reports, demonstrating transparency, consistency, and initiative.
- Act as the frontline representative of the company, ensuring the effective implementation of marketing and sales strategies as prescribed by Merck’s regional leadership.
Pharmacovigilance Responsibilities (Adverse Event Reporting):
- Identify and document Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) promptly upon awareness, and ensure submission within 24 hours.
- Maintain communication with the Patient Safety team by supplying any additional clinical data or patient follow-up required for comprehensive safety analysis.
Ideal Candidate Profile – Who You Are:
- A graduate in any discipline (Candidates with backgrounds in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Biotechnology will be given preference).
- A self-driven individual, either a fresher with strong academic grounding or someone with up to 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen understanding of scientific concepts and a desire to bring medical solutions to patients.
- Energetic, well-organized, and capable of working independently with a high degree of integrity and professional ethics.
- Willing to travel locally within the assigned region and engage consistently with healthcare providers.
