Position Title: Part-Time Research Assistant (MBBS Graduate)

Location: Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi – Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Kumar

Working Hours: 6 hours per day, Monday to Saturday

Timing: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Duration: 3 months, with the potential for extension depending on candidate performance and project requirements.

Stipend: ₹40,000 per month (Consolidated and fixed)

Part-Time Research Assistant

Role Summary:

We are inviting applications from MBBS graduates (with completed internship) for a part-time, hospital-based research assistant position. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong academic foundation and an interest in clinical research, particularly in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

The selected candidate will work directly with medical records, case files, and patients as part of ongoing retrospective and ambispective clinical studies led by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Kumar. This is a dynamic and enriching role that offers genuine research exposure within a reputed hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily presence at the hospital during designated working hours
  • Extraction and compilation of data from patient case files and hospital records
  • Interaction with patients for clarification or additional data (when needed)
  • Completion of structured proformas/Case Report Forms (CRFs)
  • Conducting literature reviews using PubMed, Google Scholar, and similar platforms
  • Assisting in basic statistical analysis (using tools like Excel and SPSS)
  • Supporting manuscript preparation, including generating tables, graphs, andreferences
  • Maintaining data confidentiality and adhering to hospital research protocols

Eligibility Criteria:

  • MBBS degree with internship completed (Mandatory)
  • Currently based in Delhi-NCR (Outstation candidates will not be considered)
  • Not appearing for any major entrance exams (NEET PG, USMLE, etc.) in the upcoming 3 months
  • Prior research experience or published work is desirable but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with literature databases, Excel, and basic statistics will be an added advantage
  • Must be sincere, detail-oriented, punctual, and willing to learn
  • Preference will be given to USMLE aspirants who are genuinely interested in clinical research and academic authorship
