Job Overview
The role of a Pharmacist in a hospital setting goes beyond simply dispensing medicines. At Max Hospital Patparganj, pharmacists are considered an integral part of the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing & Billing: Accurately dispense prescriptions for both inpatient and outpatient departments and ensure proper billing of all dispensed drugs and medical supplies.
- Pharmacy Formulary: Take part in the preparation and regular updating of the hospital’s pharmacy formulary to ensure the availability of essential medicines.
- Drug Information: Provide patients and healthcare professionals with up-to-date, evidence-based drug information, improving treatment outcomes and patient awareness.
- Inventory & Storage: Maintain proper storage, handling, and record-keeping of drugs in compliance with hospital standards. Monitor inventory levels, introduce new items, and phase out expired or non-moving stock.
- Clinical Monitoring: Review patient profiles, analyze drug orders for safety and cost-effectiveness, and intervene when necessary to ensure rational drug use.
- Compliance & Safety: Implement and adhere to SOPs, QMS (Quality Management System), EMS (Environmental Management System), and Disaster Management Program (DMP). Ensure compliance with patient safety policies and environmental standards.
- Professional Conduct: Be punctual, well-groomed, and maintain professionalism while adhering to the ethical and operational policies of the hospital.
- Waste Management: Follow proper biomedical waste disposal systems and ensure safe utilization of all pharmacy equipment.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for highly motivated, detail-oriented, and service-driven professionals who are passionate about patient care.
- Qualification: Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharma).
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy (IP/OP).
- Mandatory Requirement: Must be registered with the Delhi Pharmacy Council (DPC).
Candidates with prior hospital experience and strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and hospital pharmacy operations will be preferred.
