Position Overview: Medical Transcriptionist
A Medical Transcriptionist plays a vital role in bridging the communication between doctors and accurate patient documentation. By transforming dictated medical reports into precise written documents, transcriptionists ensure smooth flow of information and effective continuity of patient care.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualification: Graduation or Diploma in any stream (with relevant training in medical typing preferred).
- Experience: 1 – 3 years of hands-on experience in Medical Typing.
- Mode of Interview: Offline | Walk-in Interviews Only
Key Requirements
To excel in this role, the candidate must possess:
- Typing Excellence: High speed and accuracy in typing, with the ability to work under time constraints.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Strong familiarity with medical language, abbreviations, and clinical vocabulary.
- Discharge Summary Expertise: Proven experience in typing Discharge Summaries, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and correct inconsistencies or errors in dictated reports.
- Confidentiality: Commitment to safeguarding patient information and adhering to hospital data privacy policies.
- Communication Skills: Strong English comprehension and writing skills for clear and precise documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen carefully to dictated recordings by doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Transcribe audio into accurate written reports, including discharge summaries, medical notes, and treatment records.
- Proofread and edit drafts for grammar, clarity, consistency, and medical accuracy.
- Maintain 100% confidentiality of patient medical records and sensitive data.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies in reports.
- Ensure all documents are completed in compliance with hospital standards and timelines.
