Key Responsibilities
As an NGS Wet Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and excellence in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based workflows. Your role will include:
- Performing NGS library preparation, sequencing runs, and quality control (QC) of clinical and research samples.
- Troubleshooting, optimizing, and validating NGS protocols to ensure reproducibility and efficiency.
- Maintaining adherence to standard laboratory protocols, GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and quality assurance guidelines.
- Collaborating with the bioinformatics team for smooth data handover and ensuring sample-to-result accuracy.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment, reagents, and consumables to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Preparing technical reports, SOP documentation, and compliance records as per regulatory standards.
- Staying updated with advancements in molecular biology and NGS technologies to continuously improve workflows.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates with strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Eligibility:
- Education:
- UG: Any Graduate with relevant laboratory/molecular biology background
- PG: Any Postgraduate (Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology preferred)
- Experience: 1 – 4 years of relevant experience in NGS workflows, molecular diagnostics, or wet lab environments.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction, NGS library prep, and sequencing instruments.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology principles.
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- Commitment to accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
