Role Overview
As an Associate – Triage Data Surveillance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating discovery reports for all medical devices distributed by our client.
- Generating FUC (Final Universal Code) and determining if investigations are required.
- Classifying and closing complaints by integrating data into the ETQ Database.
This role is critical for ensuring compliance, safety, and quality in the medical device sector.
Key Responsibilities
Interaction:
- Work with end customers, indirect customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Ops leads to design and implement Value Generating (VG) roadmaps.
Activity:
- Perform technical analysis and evaluate reported problems.
- Assess patient safety implications and determine the severity of issues.
- Enter findings into ERP tools (ETQ system).
- Make final decisions by classifying issues into tiers.
- Interact with field engineers and technicians to gather detailed insights.
- Support employee training on complaint processes and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare for audits by explaining complaint files.
- Ensure closure and completeness of complaint records.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering or similar).
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and investigative skills.
- Background in Quality Assurance or Medical Devices (advantageous).
- Experience in technical support or SQE roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Motivation and agility to learn new skills quickly.
- Ability to work under time pressure.
- Technical education/background preferred.
- Previous experience as repair service technician, inspector, or similar.
- Multilingual skills (English, Spanish, Russian, Czech, Japanese) will be an advantage.
