Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, founded in 2006, is a modern and dynamic unit of Saurashtra University. Approved by AICTE, PCI, and UGC-SAP, it offers B.Pharm, M.Pharm (in multiple disciplines), and Ph.D. programs. Rules & Regulations
The competition is open to Ph.D., PG, UG, and Diploma students from any academic stream. Below are the rules that all participants must follow:
1. Registration Charges
- A nominal fee of Rs. 50 per student is charged for participation.
- A minimum of three students must collaborate to submit one article.
- The guide/supervisor/mentor’s name must be included as an author, though they are not required to register individually.
2. Group Registration
- One student from the group will collect the registration fees from their team and fill the registration form on behalf of all team members.
- Each group must keep a screenshot or receipt of the registration fee payment for future reference.
3. Eligibility
- Students from any year of Ph.D., PG, UG, or Diploma courses can participate.
- Articles will be evaluated in a single category, but if needed, the pool may be split to ensure fair evaluation.
4. Article Submission Guidelines
- Articles must be in English, formatted in A4 size using MS Word.
- Text must be Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Headings/subheadings/sub-subheadings should be bold.
- Articles should be well-researched with appropriate tables, figures, and references.
5. Evaluation Criteria
Each article will be evaluated on the following basis (total 100 marks):
- Depth and Quality of Content (20 Marks)
- Correctness of English (10 Marks)
- Following Instructions to Author (20 Marks)
- Clarity of Tables and Figures (20 Marks)
- Accuracy in Referencing and Citation Format (20 Marks)
- Secrecy of Identity (10 Marks) – Identity of the student should not be revealed within the article.
- Question-Answer Round (10 Marks) – (Not applicable for the first round)
The final judgment will be made by expert judges, and their decision will be binding.
Awards and Recognition
To reward academic excellence and creativity, the competition offers the following:
- 1st Prize: ₹5000/-
- 2nd Prize: ₹3000/-
- Consolation Prizes (3): ₹1000/- each
- E-certificates for all participants and their guides
Additionally, good quality articles from all participants—not just the winners—will be published as book chapters in a book with ISBN by Academic Decipher Press. The names of all authors will be featured on the content page and the chapter title page.

Online Presentation Details (2nd Round)
Top 10 to 20 groups will be shortlisted for a live online presentation on Google Meet or Zoom. Students are expected to present using their MS Word files—no PPT is required.
- Maximum Duration: 5 minutes
- Question-Answer Time: 2 additional minutes
- All participants in the team should be present
- Judges will ask domain-specific questions based on the content

Publication Opportunity
A major attraction of this competition is the publication opportunity offered by Academic Decipher Press. Here’s what you need to know:
- Articles selected based on quality will be published as book chapters with ISBN.
